Well the original plan was to write EVERY night. Can I not commit to anything? Uggg.

After living in a new city now for about 3 months, I realize that I no longer want to be here. I started out hopeful, with all the "new beginnings" talk and everything. Now I have reached the "Homesick" phase. Does this go away? Or just continue until you go back? I do not regret coming here though, and I am basically stuck here until May anyway, so I guess this is where I need to just make the best of it. I need to increase my contacts. AKA all those people I thought I would schmooze with when I moved here. But in reality I know that those people will likely be those that I am already related to, but need to improve my relationship with anyway. I am here. 3 hours from home. Missing my father most of all. It has taken me 20 years to get to this point of realization that I want to spend as much time with him as possible. He is an amazing person.

T minus 6 and 1/2 months. Thats not that bad is it?

So I figured I should probably start out by explaining my username. It is a term I recently learned in my management class. The term is locus of control, and it refers to the degree in which one believe he or she is control of their own fate or destiny. At the time I didn't really have a reason for choosing it other than remembering that I thought it was interesting.

Other than that I am curious about this site and about blogging. I guess we'll see how this whole thing works out.

Now back to studying.
